David DesRochers Photography Explore Cherish Preserve
BIO
David DesRochers is a long time resident of Cranford, New Jersey. His passion for nature photography was sparked by a trip to Glacier National Park in the summer of 2000. Since then, he and his wife Cathy have traveled the world to witness and photograph many of the wonders that nature has to offer. David is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association and his work has appeared in several of the organization’s publications. He is past president of the Cranford Millburn Camera Club and current president of Camera Naturalist Photo Club, New Jersey's premier nature photography club.
David conducts photography workshops for local photo clubs and The New Jersey Audubon Society. His photographs have won several awards in local, regional and national competitions.
Seeing nature through the lens of a camera has enhanced David's appreciation of the natural world and has inspired him to work on environmental issues. As a member of Cranford’s Environmental Commission, he developed the group’s web site www.mygreencranford.org which is designed to promote ideas for sustainable living and includes a gallery of David’s photos of local wildlife.
